During Dr. ruth’s whirlwind visit to the Berkshires – she stayed a full week! – she was everywhere, from Barrington Stage Company where the play based on her life (Dr. Ruth, All the Way) is virtually sold out for the rest of its run – to the Norman Rockwell Museum, The Pittsfield July 4 Parade, and yes, a performance of Vertigo at the Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival.

But why write about it, she make a pretty good case for dance in this video from the Jacob’s Pillow You Tube channel. She says: Dr. Ruth on Jacob’s Pillow: “Anyone that dances like them will never need a sex therapist.”

As our colleague Mariclare Hulbert at Jacob’s Pillow summed it up in a note that came with the video: “At 84 years old and standing a massive 4 foot 7, she’s quite the spitfire.”
