Pittsfield, MA: Barrington Stage Company (BSC), the award-winning theatre in downtown Pittsfield, MA, under the leadership of Julianne Boyd, Artistic Director, and Tristan Wilson, Managing Director, is proud to announce upcoming performances at Mr. Finn’s Cabaret, located on the lower level of the Sydelle and Lee Blatt Performing Arts Center (formerly Stage 2), 36 Linden Street, Pittsfield.

Mr. Finn’s Cabaret, named after the Tony Award-winning composer of Falsettos and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and Artistic Producer of BSC’s Musical Theatre Lab, kicked off this premiere season with singer/songwriter Joe Iconis, followed by Nikos Tsakalakos.

The Rhythms of Life Cabaret at the new Mr. Finn’s Cabaret, is an evening of toe tapping music and fun with BSC’s 2012 Musical Theatre Apprentices – Ben Holtzman, Danny Harris Kornfeld, Rebecca Kuznick, and Meagan Michelson. The Rhythms of Life Cabaret takes you on the journey of four strangers who meet in Central Park, sharing their life stories through contemporary and classic show tunes, and creating friendship through the rhythm of life’s ups and downs. From the Tony Award nominated revival of Ragtime and straight off the national tour of Memphis, is Broadway’s Quentin Earl Darrington for an inspired evening of song. The evening marks Quentin’s solo concert debut in the Berkshires and features unstoppable selections from the Broadway, pop, jazz, gospel, and great American songbooks, and also includes original works by new composers. Passion, perspective, promise, and power all frame what guarantees to be a night to remember! Tickets to QED, Chapter 1: Verse 1 are $15, general admission.

Featuring the vocal stylings of Broadway’s Lisa Howard, Alysha Umphress and Michael Winther.
Carmel’s Candy Shop provides a tasty sampling of Dean’s work as a composer, with rousing, funny and emotionally evocative lyrics by William Finn, Maya Angelou, Edna St. Vincent Millay, Anna K. Jacobs, Mindi Dickstein and Sarah Underwood. Performers include BSC favorites and Broadway regulars Lisa Howard, Alysha Umphress and Michael Winther.
