A Star Studded Program
Tony Award winners Christine Ebersole and Betty Buckley join five-time Grammy Award nominee Michael Feinstein and the Boston Pops Orchestra for Michael Feinstein’s American Songbook at Tanglewood in Lenox. Ebersole’s a star of stage and screen, with credits that include Broadway revivals of 42nd Street and Dinner at Eight, and the feature films Tootsie and Amadeus, among others.
Equally revered, Buckley made her name as the voice that sang “Memory” in the original cast of Cats on Broadway. She’s also starred in film and on television, including the dramedy Eight Is Enough. For this program, the pair will share the stage with singer-pianist Feinstein and the Pops for selections of standards by the likes of George and Ira Gershwin, Cole Porter, Harold Arlen, Duke Ellington, Johnny Mercer, Irving Berlin, Lorenz Hart, Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein. The Boston Pops will be conducted by Thomas Wilkins in his Tanglewood debut. He is music director of the Omaha Symphony. For discount ticket information, Follow this link.
