Pittsfield, MA – Two more rising local bands, Nostalgia and Suitcase Rodeo, perform at The Garage on Wednesday, November 21 at 8pm. The crowds at these musical events has been growing, as the blend of live music, relaxed setting and $10 ticket price makes a midweek evening out both exciting and affordable.
Nostalgia is Hip Hop: living, breathing and working. Hailing from Pittsfield, MA, the group features core members DRAMATIC, J.Soul, QuikMonee, and Jake Case. This is a fresh take on Hip Hop music as it was meant to be: honest and raw. With just a pair of microphones and a set of turntables, they are rapidly ascending through the ranks of Hip Hop hierarchy. They speak with an emotion that is powerful and commanding. They’ve shared the stage with Raekwon, The High Life and Brooklyn35, among others, and have received an overwhelming response as a must-see act. Nostalgia is currently in the process of finalizing there first album, Timeless.
Suitcase Rodeo is a veritable force of nature. Born out of a pool of harmonic mirth that includes the likes of guitar phenom Jeff Howard, bassist Andy Wrba and keyboardist John “Wayno” Waynelovich, both of the band Barefoot Truth, as well as drummer Andrew “Danger” Magennis, saxophonist Noah Weiss and their fearless leader, “Oh captain, my captain,” Tory Hanna. Their music is electric and bursting at the seams with energy, to the point that even the most Grinch-like of curmudgeons would be hard pressed to resist the urge to dance. If Chuck Norris had a band, this is what it would sound like.
Tickets to Nostalgia and Suitcase Rodeo are $10. Contact the Colonial Ticket Office at 111 South Street, Pittsfield by calling 413-997-4444.
