Berkshire Theatre Group welcomes roots-rock band, Adam Ezra Group, to The Garage on Friday, April 1, 2016 at 8pm.

Boston native Adam Ezra has been making music for 15 years. Adam Ezra Group has grown gradually from a solo, acoustic act to a touring group with 6 musicians including Ezra on vocals and guitar, Corinna Smith on fiddle, Turtle on hand percussion, Josh Gold on keys, Francis Hickey on bass, and Alex Martin on drums. Performances are renowned for their energy and uniqueness, drawing from Ezra’s prolific songwriting catalog. Band members never know what they’re going to play until they get on stage and, it’s not unusual to find them wielding trash can lids, accordions, banjos, spoons, 2x4s and other unexpected implements over the course of an AEG set. And, when the feeling hits them, they’ve been known to take the occasional field trip off stage to sing unplugged with the audience.

Adam Ezra and his band have never been afraid to rewrite the rules of business for their independent, folk-inspired, rock band. For many years they have offered their CDs for whatever a fan can afford to pay, even free. They have made playing benefits and fundraisers a priority, despite a grueling 200 show per year tour schedule.

Noted by The New England Music Awards as “Band of the Year” in 2013, as well as “Album of the Year” in 2012, Adam Ezra Group puts on a lively show that will have fans dancing all night.

Tickets to Adam Ezra Group are $10 in advance, $12 day of show. Contact the Colonial Ticket Office at 111 South Street, Pittsfield by calling 413-997-4444. Tickets can also be bought online at www.berkshiretheatregroup.org. The Ticket Office is open Monday-Friday 10am-5pm, Saturdays 10am-2pm or on any performance day from 10am until curtain.
