Wilburton Inn Hosts Reading of Play February 26


The Wilburton Inn continues their long tradition of supporting the theatre and the arts by hosting the Manchester Players’ reading of a new play based on Sinclair Lewis’ novel,

2-4 pm

This satirical play follows the ascent of a demagogue who becomes president of the United States. Witnessing from the sidelines is a liberal newspaper editor from Vermont who becomes caught in the chaos of social upheaval.

“Though this book was written in 1935 it reads like it was ripped out of today’s headlines,” say Manchester Players founder and director Letitia Scordino.

The cast of 10 includes Equity actors Jim Raposa, Letitia Scordino and Rose and David Lewis.
