Theater Voices will present its fourth staged reading production of the 2016-2017 Season: Blithe Spirit by Noel Coward, directed by Krysta Dennis
Performances will be held at Steamer No. 10 Theatre, 500 Western Avenue, Albany on Friday May 19 at 8:00 pm; Saturday May 20 at 3:00 pm and 8:00 pm: and Sunday May 21 at 3:00 pm. Admission is free.
The play follows novelist Charles Condomine and his wife Ruth who
have invited the eccentric medium and clairvoyant, Madame Arcati, to their
home to conduct a seance, hoping to gather material for his next book. But
the scheme backfires when the ghost of his annoying and temperamental first
wife Elvira appears–visible only to Charles. Elvira makes continual
attempts to disrupt Charles’s marriage to Ruth, while Madame Arcati tries
fruitlessly to make the spirit disappear.
The director, Krysta Dennis, works as a theatre-maker and
