Its boy-meets-girl several times over as romance falters and flourishes on a ship bound for England.  These boys and girls are a merrily mixed lot.  Reno Sweeney (a sexy evangelist turned night club singer) and her Angels are on board to ‘save sinners in the ship’s lounge’.  Lovely debutante Hope Harcourt is sailing towards her wedding, with mother Evangeline along to chaperone.  Erma is a flirtatious gangster’s moll escaping pursuit.  Billy Crocker (whom Reno thinks she wants to marry) has stowed away to pursue Hope.  He has to avoid his boss Eli Whitney, a wealthy Wall Street financier.  Lord Evelyn Oakleigh is Hope’s intended.  Moonface Martin is Public Enemy #13, disguised as a minister.

Sam Pickart will play Billy Crocker and Megan Hasse is Hope Harcourt.  Both are Mac-Haydn newcomers this season; he is studying at prestigious Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music and has played King Arthur in Spamalot and Adam in Children of Eden, while Ms. Hasse has been seen as Lilli Vanessi/Kate in Kiss Me Kate and Mrs. Potts in Beauty and The Beast.

Angela Travino comes to play Reno Sweeney from the national tour of South Pacific, her strong voice has also been shown off in featured regional stage, television and concert appearances.  Darryl Blackburn returns to Mac-Haydn to play Moonface Martin, he was the delightfully eerie Uncle Fester in last summer’s The Addams Family.

Anything Goes as minds and hearts are changed, all to hilarious happenings as Reno distracts Lord Evelyn, Erma chases sailors, Moonface and a real minister compare converts, Eli and Evangeline renew their old acquaintance and Billy keeps wooing Hope.  Needless to say, it all works out by the finale, and along the way there is the unforgettable score: You’re The Top, Friendship, All through The Night, It’s De-Lovely, the rousing Blow, Gabriel, Blow and of course the title song.

Anything Goes performs June 22 through July 2.  Performance dates and times vary, please see www.machaydntheatre.org or call 518-392-9292 for information and reservations.
