Voices from Inside will be a reprise of the October 4th program Soul Rebel Performance Troupe produced for Prisoners’ Legal Services 7th Annual Pro Bono Celebration. PLS is overwhelmed with written entries for this annual program, and their clients are proud to know their words and stories are being performed publicly to call attention to the human toll of our unjust, dysfunctional and inhumane prison industrial complex. “Voices from Inside” gives an insightful nuanced voice to the 2.3 million men and women who are incarcerated, invisible and unheard.
Soul Rebel Performance Troupe is dedicated to highlighting and producing theatrical work by and about people of color and other marginalized groups, and giving them opportunities to participate in all aspects of theatre.
