Troy Civic Theatre will be holding auditions for additional men for it’s 2018 Season Opener: Maggie’s Boys, a new work by local playwright Diane Doring, that will be held at 2 pm on November 26th, 2017, and 7:00pm on November 28th, 2017 at the Arts Center of the Capital Region, 265 River Street, Troy. The play takes place in Troy, in a lower-middle-class apartment in the early 1940s and raises issues of economic security, social standing, and romantic attachment.
Maggie’s Boys is a story about the power of love and family. The story takes place in 1940’s South Troy, NY. Maggie Bailey Santorelli struggles through poverty, illness, and a haunting trauma from her past to give her sons the best possible life she can create for them, with the help and friendship of Dr. Stephen Halloran, an old and very devoted love.

Rehearsals will begin in late January, approximately two months prior to the performance dates and will be approximately two hours, three or four times a week. The rehearsal schedule will be provided before the first rehearsal after conflict reconciliation.
