TROY, NEW YORK     The Troy Savings Bank Music Hall Corporation adds three more shows to an already exciting and eclectic 2017-2018 Season.  Come celebrate the holidays at the Hall with the return of Jim Brickman in his long running Christmas show.  Join us in the new year with the extraordinary pianist, Joey Alexander, who at only 13 has taken the jazz world by storm.  Also, coming in April and back by popular demand, Black Violin!

The Many Moods of Christmas

Now an annual holiday tradition for families across the Capital District, come celebrate the holiday season with APM!  This year’s program, along with traditional holiday carols, features Ola Gjeilo’s stunning “Dreamweaver“ and Robert Shaw’s exhilarating collection, “The Many Moods of Christmas, Suite III.”  Taking center stage this year is the New York State premiere of “Dreamweaver”, an exquisite composition by Albany Pro Musica’s Composer-in-Residence, Ola Gjeilo.  Based on a Norwegian folk poem, and with a plot reminiscent of Dante’s Divine Comedy, “Dreamweaver,” replete with vivid imagery, will transport you to a distant world of dreams in a concert is designed to inspire, to celebrate, to help us reflect, and to unite us in the spirit of the season. Join us and sing in the season with Albany Pro Musica!
