Berkshire Theatre Group Announces Additions to the $5 Comedy Garage Series

Pittsfield, MA– Berkshire Theatre Group (BTG) announces additions to the popular $5 Comedy Garage Series line-up: MTV’s JR De Guzman (3/15); Comedy Central comedian, Matthew Broussard (4/26); and hailed “Comic to Watch” by Time Out New York, Kat Radley (5/17). The Comedy Garage Series is sponsored by Pittsfield Cooperative Bank.

Join us at The Comedy Garage, hosted by Madelyn Gardner, for only $5! The Comedy Garage presents acclaimed comedians from near and far. After the show, head down the street to Methuselah Bar & Lounge and show your Comedy Garage ticket for a $5 beverage.

We suggest early arrival for this event. It is general admission, first come, first served.

Tickets to all Comedy Garage’s are $5. Please note, to avoid a $6 order fee, please call the Box Office at 413-997-4444 or purchase your tickets in person at The Colonial, 111 South Street, Pittsfield, MA. Ticket Offices are open Monday-Saturday 10am-5pm, Sunday 10am-2pm or on any performance day from 10am until curtain.

JR De Guzman has entertained all over the world, having performed for Stand-Up Tokyo and ROR Comedy in Japan, the Jokers Ball in Indonesia, the Badaboom Comedy Series in Amsterdam, the Edmonton Comedy Festiva, and countless others. Combining music and comedy, JR serenades the audience into laughter with songs, jokes, and stories of traveling the world, life after college, and family. His most recent appearances include MTV’s Acting Out and Comedy Central’s Hart of the City.

Comedian Matthew Broussard can currently be seen on MTV2’s Guy Code and Not Exactly News, and has appeared on Conan, Adam Devine’s House Party, Last Call With Carson Daly, The League and The Mindy Project. In 2015, he was selected to be a New Face at Montreal’s Just For Laughs Festival, and in 2016, his half hour special aired on Comedy Central.

Named “Comic to Watch” by Time Out New York, Kat Radley is currently a staff writer on The Daily Show on Comedy Central. Kat made her stand-up debut by competing in Rooftop Comedy’s National College Competition, landing her a finalist spot in the prestigious Aspen Rooftop Comedy Festival. Since then, she has appeared on FOX’s Laughs, and has made multiple appearances in many prestigious festivals including the Out of Bounds, Laughing Skull, Cabo, and Women in Comedy Festival where Kat took home the Friars Club Audience Award. Last year, Kat released her debut comedy album with Uproar Entertainment entitled, The Important Thing is That I’m Pretty which premiered at #4 on the Itunes Comedy Charts. Her jokes can currently be heard on Sirius XM Radio, Pandora, and Spotify.
