Actress and playwright Anne Undeland and Broadway actor Mark Zeisler will present a reading of her new play, Lady Randy, at the Museum of the Gilded Age at Ventfort Hall on Walker Street in Lenox, MA. Lady Randy relays the story of Jennie Jerome, the daughter of a wealthy New York family who married Lord Randolph Churchill. They would become the parents of Winston Churchill, the future British Prime Minister. Undeland and Zeisler first read her play a few months ago at Berkshire Voices, which provides a “first look, first read” for works developed in the Berkshire Playwrights Lab’s Writers Group. Lady Randy is the actress’s first full-length play. She will repeat here her role of Jennie Jerome while Zeisler will again read the roles of Winston Churchill, Leonard Jerome, Randolph Churchill, Marlborough Family Solicitor, Duchess of Marlborough, English Bloke, Mrs. Everest, Count Charles Kinsky and Bertie, Prince of Wales. Admission is $25 per person. Coffee or tea and cake will be served after the reading. Reservations are highly recommended as seating is limited. For reservations call us at 413-637-3206.
